In 1990, Dr Harish Mallya graduated from Karnatak University in India. He then went on to complete his Paediatric Training in the Oxford Region, obtaining his postgraduate medical diploma (MRCP, UK) in 1996. During his training, he obtained a Masters Degree in Community Paediatrics from University College London (UCL). Currently, he is a Consultant Paediatrician, based within the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. He has a special interest in developmental paediatrics and paediatric neuro-disability, including learning disability.He has expertise in managing children with possible developmental delay, autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and other associated learning disabilities. He has received excellent reviews from his patients for his communication and assessment skills. For autism particularly, his assessments are all-inclusive and include standardised tools such as the 3Di interview. He works closely with schools and therapists to arrive at an action plain which aims to address the specific needs of every individual child.Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and a member of the British Association of Community Child Health and the British Association of Childhood Disability.
